We have a new group of teachers working with the project for the next year.  They will be developing their teaching and leadership skills around the theme of Learning for Sustainability.  At the end of the year they will get accreditation by both the General Teaching Council and the University of the Highlands and Islands.  But for now, we started the course with a trek out to the old shieling site, looking at place-naming, stories, poems of spring, simple shelters past and present, and ways of creating change in school culture.  Each teacher will be starting an exciting piece of work with the Shieling Project, bringing their pupils out here to get hands on and involved in our development.  Watch this space to see some of the work they do…
