A group of Kenyan teachers and community leaders, led by Mr Samuel Poses Sekeu, visited the Shieling Project on Sunday.  They were over in Scotland as part of an exchange organised by Crofting Connections and NECOFA Kenya School Gardens Initiative, called Kenyan Connections.

Kenyan ConnectionsWe had a fantastic afternoon sharing insights from our respective countries – looking at the challenges and rewards of strengthening culture and heritage education. We shared food from both countries and stories involving cattle: the wars they started, their shielings full of magical beasts and the moral lessons of looking after the land.
